What is GigWest?
GigWest is an online marketplace and booking facilitator connecting live performers with venues, organisations and private hirers. It provides discovery, protected enquiries, messaging, versioned quotes, booking-fee processing and booking records.
Is GigWest an entertainment agency?
No. Performers control their pricing, availability, travel area and which enquiries they accept. GigWest does not employ performers or run the event.
How does a booking work?
Find a performer, open a protected enquiry, agree a versioned quote, accept it and pay the GigWest booking fee. The performer is told when acceptance is awaiting payment.
When is a booking confirmed?
Only after the quote is accepted, the booking fee is paid and GigWest confirms the Stripe payment event. Acceptance alone is not confirmation.
What happens after confirmation?
Contact details unlock. The performer and hirer arrange logistics, direct communication and direct payment of the performer quote. GigWest keeps platform and booking-fee records and can provide reasonable platform support, but does not guarantee either party’s obligations or run the event. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
